Heck yes for farmhouse ales and barrel aged sours! I love a good funky beer and, as the name suggests, this is the Funkatorium's specialty. They do funky and they do it well.
I got a flight of sours and the husband got a flight of some of their more limited options. I think my favorite of the night was the Sombra which is a Sour Ale Fermented with Cherries, Cacao Nibs, Vanilla Beans, Cinnamon, and Habaneros. But I was honestly impressed with everything I tried.
The bartenders were knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and made great suggestions.
This place is a must visit for sour fans! -

Beer was flat out amazing. Just getting into sours, and everything we had was fantastic! We also got a cheese tray that was damn good!
Would have been 5 stars if it weren't for the service. I dunno if they were understaffed or what, but everyone working seemed too busy to offer a simple hello or conversation, and just seemed annoyed by us, and everyone else around us (at the bar). There was a lot of negative vibes. Not sure what was up. To be fair, everyone was working their butts off, but, a little positivity would go a long way in this type of atmosphere.
Very odd as Wicked Weed OG was completely the opposite vibe. -

So my brother and I were excited to go here because he really likes sours and I'm on a quest to find out if there are any beers in existence that aren't super bitter. The ones we tried definitely aren't bitter. They were, as expected, sour. But I feel like sourness should be cut with some sweetness, yes?
Anyways... we also got food. I got the garlic "brett" knots and my brother got the tomato mozzarella aroncini. The food was absolutely delicious and came out fast, as well.
So let's talk about why this is only 3 stars...
I understand being busy. And to be fair, everyone working was, indeed, working. No one was standing around or on their phones or reading. Everyone was serving, pouring, etc. However... is an acknowledgment that we exist too much to ask? Is a simple check-in every moment or so too much to ask? And we were sitting at the bar, not at a separate table.
The customer service leaves a bit to be desired. Would have been nice to get the occasional "is everything okay over here?" if nothing else.
Again... I can't say they weren't working. I think they just need to be more aware of their customers. -

Incredibly fast service and helpful servers. I loved the grit cake elotes and the smores stout.
The beer flights are the best part about this place so you can sample a ton of Wicked Weed Brewery beers. The locale was nice too, we enjoyed sitting out on the patio, it was covered, there was live music nearby on the grass but not too loud we couldn't hear ourselves talk! -

We chose to come here because I was dog-sitting and they allow dogs outside on the patio. We checked to see if we needed to wait for seating or seat ourselves and were told to seat ourselves.
They had a specials menu printed and on the table with pulled pork or pulled chicken and sides like Gouda mac and cheese, fried okra, sweet potato casserole and one more I don't remember. After our server came out to us, we had already been sitting out there about 5 minutes, she told us that menu wasn't available until 2 and she wish they didn't put it out early. Needless to say it sets people up for disappointment and she has to repeat that to people until 2...
So we had to switch modes and order off of their regular menu which is fun and a little different to places we usually go. I got the fried sweet potato sandwich with a side salad. He got a brisket sandwich with fries. And we shared the pepper and olive app.
My sandwich was very good, I was worried at first because it looked like focaccia which I generally don't care for. It's usually dense and very heavy and greasy. This almost seemed like a lighter fluffier version of it. The sandwich kind of tasted like pizza and although there was plenty of sweet potato, I didn't really get a punch of that flavor. Which was fine. The cheese was a lot of fun also. The side salad was dressed and seasoned well, I enjoyed it a lot. I tried his sandwich and it was also very good. Fries were good for scrawny fries. I liked the app too, it was fun. The different olives at their own flavors. One tasted like lemon, another thyme and another a variation of fruitiness. The pickled carrots were interesting as another bit. Also the stuffed pepper was good, just a little crunchier and tangier than expected.
I hate to complain about the drink selection, I don't usually go to breweries or anything like that because I don't like beer. So the selection here for non-beer drinkers was very small. She said they had lemonade and a couple of other things. They do carry Devil's Foot ginger beer.
